Pricing: Items are more likely to sell for $9.99 than $10 because customers get the impression that more effort and attention has been given to the pricing of the item. It's not so much that the customer thinks the price is that much cheaper it is "9" rather than a "10". The disadvantage with doing this is that intelligent people will see you as a con artist and will be less trusting of you.   Kevin Solway (173)

Choice: Customers are more satisfied when there isn't too much choice. When there is too much choice the customer is left with the feeling that they can't possibly be purchasing the best item.   Kevin Solway (173)

Advertising: What not to do is flood the market with ads. It is annoying, looks desperate, and is penalised by getting the mindless masses as customers, who fickly ask for refunds for petty reasons.   kellyjones00 (593)

Advertising: Discerning customers are already thinking about a product before looking for suppliers. Then when they do make contact with suppliers, it's usually to do research. They are very loyal to businesses who don't demoralise them with stupid ads.   kellyjones00 (593)
