To become a compilation of the best nuggets of useful information on all subjects.
Short pieces of wisdom that share "secret" and non-obvious knowledge: knowledge that a person arrives at through inspiration or practice. Perhaps the tip clarifies and simplifies what was previously complex and confused; perhaps it is a key that unlocks a door, sharing a simple solution to what the reader might not have even realised was a problem. We're not looking for mere sets of instructions, or ideas that ask questions or that create even more work and complexity. Good tips are a selfless sharing of a hidden knowledge, saving others time, money, and sanity.
Please keep in mind that this is a global website, so references to your local currency or local businesses are not suitable: people from other countries won't know what you are talking about.
Either search the catalogue or browse by starting with the main categories on the home page. Sub-categories are shown on the left side of the screen.
When you click on a category it may be that there are very few "general" tips within it. It may be that the bulk of the tips are to be found in its subcategories (listed on the left).
The numbers next to a category indicate how many tips are within that category including all of its contained categories.
Create an account and then you can give tips a rating by clicking one of the radio buttons below the -, + and ++ signs and then pressing the "Submit votes" button. The items with the highest average ranking appear at the top of the list.
The user name indicates who posted the tip and the parenthesised number indicates how many tips that user has posted altogether. If you click on the number then all of that user's posts will be listed.
