Hypothyroidism
A large intake of cruciferous vegetables, which are usually dark-green leafy types, is "goitrogenic" and interferes with thyroid hormones. If hypothyroid, reduce intake of: cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, kale, turnips, swedes and bok choy.

Avoid gluten, which is found in wheat, rye, barley, triticale and oats, as well as in barley malt and malt vinegar. Gluten-free cereals include rice, amaranth, millet, and buckwheat.
