Spare plastic bags:

  • Scrunch them up and use them as padding in packaging.
  • Use them as 'doggy doo bags' when out walking your dog.
  • Use them when travelling to separate wet or dirty clothes from dry or clean clothes.

Paper:
  • Discarded A4-sized paper can be cut and stapled together to make notepads.
  • Old envelopes you receive in the mail can be used a second time by placing a new address label over the last address. Old envelopes can also be used for scribbling down shopping lists, to-do lists, and notes.
  • To fill in a rainy day, get a paper recycling kit and get the kids to rip up old used paper to make recycled paper.

Computer equipment: As it may contain toxic chemicals, try to avoid putting it in landfill.
  • If it is still working, it can be sold on ebay, or another online auction, or sold via your local paper.
  • If not working, donate it to a non-profit group who builds equipment for disadvantaged persons. There are thousands of these online.
  • Or donate to a local freecycle group member.
  • Or contact a local eco-salvage company that takes old computer equipment for a small fee.   kellyjones00 (593)
