No philosopher ever got away with merely being intelligent. You have to be immoral first and foremost. All the great thinkers were thoroughly sordid.

When confronted with a truth, run like hell. It's an honest response. Soon enough you'll stop and it'll still be there in front of you.

Don't be afraid of the midday shadow. Truth is like that. You know it's there, you just can't quite see it, and when you do, it isn't quite midday.

The spiritual man willingly confronts difficult situations. He makes himself vulnerable, to bring his weaknesses and their accompanying delusions to the surface where they can be recognised and dealt with. Thus does his suffering facilitate healing.

You can inject snake venom into your blood to gain immunity. There may well be fever at first, but one emerges the better for it. The weak cannot take large dosages, so their progress is slow. The strong transfer their blood for poison; they gain immunity rapidly.

Some thinker's jewels:
Crop rotation. Vary the theme.
Redoubling. Reflect truths back onto themselves.
Irony. Use the same language as others, but with a true meaning.
Listen to the Earth. What music is it?
Indolence. Do nothing, really nothing.
Love. There can be only One.
Create values. Be your Commander, not a slave to the force of false habits.
Fishing. Seek out delusions so the Devil won't catch you unawares later.

The one of high scope has developed a deep disgust for all things worldly, and now has a clear vision of the Goal. He is determined to attain perfection quickly and at all costs. Such a one does not compromise. Nor does he fear pain, for he does not have enough faith in his own existence to be able to act in self-preservation. He holds nothing back; he sees all.

The desire for Truth and the love of reason is indeed an emotional passion, but no ordinary passion, for it ends in the destruction of passion. However, if you use reason only sparingly and without complete love, as do the scientists, then your reason will be no more than ordinary greed, used opportunistically and inconsistently. In such a dilapidated state of mind you will have no right to proclaim reason above the feminine emotions. If you do not follow reason to completion your inconsistency will leave you open to a thousand criticisms. You will be told you are suppressing feelings - and you will be - as you will lack the power to utterly destroy feelings as they should be destroyed. You will be a hypocrite, living a double life with double standards.

Or they're like seeds: don't give them a roothold, and they don't grow.

General Tips:
Woman is:
1. Unaware she is personified egotism. She believes egotism is individualism, and egolessness is 'helping others' (see 2 and 3)
2. An actress, ie. one who skilfully combines falseness with a good conscience
3. Incapable of justice, unable to truly sympathise with others because she sees only what will serve her needs
4. Soulless, by lacking the 'I', which is a thought-centred entity. Thus, she is spontaneous and emotionally incontinent, inconsistent and moody, and deeply disturbed by physical sensations and changes in her body. She is an instinctively good animal communicator.
5. Always 'good' in the way a child is good, with no conception of original sin
6. More a woman and a female than a distinct individuality in her own right, thus, one woman is like any other
7. Free of any blame for her existence, since only one who consciously sins can be culpable

What is most scary about women is the way they can do the most terrible harmful things with no remorse, especially if they feel wronged themselves by someone. They never question their own feeling of being wronged by someone - somehow it's never caused by themselves in any way.
Women have this strong trait in common with mass-murdering dictators, serial killers and sadists.

The Middle Way is not meant as balance. It is not meant as avoiding or combining extremes like being happy / sympathetic with being cranky, afraid, or depressed. It is not meant as avoiding logical distinctions via a fuzzy uncertainty.
The Middle Way is the logical result of not believing that distinctions and boundaries are inherent in reality. One doesn't take positions as if they're real and fixed.
