Extension cords
Join two extension cords together more safely
by ensuring they can't be pulled apart. Firstly, connect the two cords together, then create a double loop in the cord near the connection, then feed the connected plugs through the loop.
Ideally, since extension cords shouldn't be coiled when in use, it's better to use a purpose-built extension cord joiner (see image).

Safety tips for extension cords:
- Don't use extension cords for permanent wiring. Get proper wiring installed.
- For outdoors use, only use extension cords that are designed for the purpose. Mark your cords for either indoor or outdoor use.
- Don't plug an appliance onto the cord that exceeds the cords wattage rating. Thicker wiring is needed to conduct higher currents.
- Don't use a cord that feels hot or looks damaged.
- Unplug extension cords when they’re not in use.
- Pull the plug, not the cord, when pulling an extension cord out of a socket.

Air compressor machines
must be plugged directly into a power source. Do not use an extension cord.
