Hitting straight: Before you do anything you have to make sure you can hit the ball straight. Practice hitting the cue ball straight up and down the table, always following through the ball with the cue in a straight line. When you can do that, practice by lining balls up in a straight line and potting them into the pockets. When you are confident with your straight-hitting you will enjoy the game a lot more, and have a basis for more advanced techniques.   Kevin Solway (173)
